In a major development in Gaya district, police arrested a man named Amar Kumar Raj  alias “Baba”  in connection with a murder and loot case from last December. The arrest took place at Gaya railway station. During the arrest, officers recovered a country-made pistol, two cartridges, and a mobile phone from the accused. Three other suspects in the case — Pankaj, Suraj and Dharmaveer  had already been arrested earlier. The police said the raid follows months-long investigation after the incident had spurred strong public outrage. The arrest is being hailed as a significant breakthrough, and authorities say they are close to unearthing broader networks behind the crime.
