Patna Police today arrested four persons in connection with a series of house burglaries that had troubled residents in multiple city localities over the past month, officials confirmed. The arrests followed a sustained investigation by the Crime Branch, which tracked patterns of theft, gathered forensic evidence and coordinated with local patrol units to identify the suspects.

According to police, the accused all in their 20s  were apprehended from different parts of the city following intelligence inputs and checkpoints set up after repeated incidents of house break-ins. Investigators said that stolen items recovered from the suspects include jewellery, electronic devices, cash and other valuables, which are believed to have been taken from at least six separate residences in the Kankarbagh, Boring Road and Rajendra Nagar areas.

A senior police officer explained that the case came to light after a victim reported a burglary at his home late last month, noting a forced entry and loss of valuables. Crime Branch detectives analysed evidence, including CCTV footage and mobile transaction trails, eventually zeroing in on a network believed to be responsible for the thefts. The team then secured warrants and executed coordinated raids that led to the arrests.

Officials said the suspects confessed during questioning and have been taken into custody for further interrogation. Officials reminded citizens to maintain basic home security measures, such as locking doors and windows, using lighting and alarm systems where possible, and reporting suspicious activity immediately. The case remains under further investigation, and police said they will file formal charges in court as the legal process proceeds.
