Large numbers of candidates who came to sit for a major examination in Patna on Saturday reported severe overcrowding and poor arrangements at several test centres, according to on-the-ground accounts from participants.
Students and their accompanying family members described scenes of confusion and delay as they tried to enter the allotted centres early in the morning. Many said that overcrowded entry points, lack of clear signage and inadequate management of queues made it difficult for them to complete the necessary checks well before the start time. Some candidates complained that the situation outside felt “worse than expected” and that officials were overwhelmed by the large turnout.
Candidates also reported long wait times at security and registration points, with several saying they feared missing the exam due to delays entering examination halls. In some instances, students had to navigate through tightly packed crowds, making access to the venues difficult for elderly applicants and those with disabilities.
Officials responsible for the conduct of the exam have not yet released an official
