Police in Patna launched an investigation today after mysterious words were found scrawled on the door of a room at Shambhu Girls Hostel in the Kankarbagh area. The unusual writing  described by residents as strange and unsettling was discovered on the hostel door in the early morning hours, prompting concern among students, staff and nearby residents.

Hostel authorities said that students alerted them after noticing the writing upon returning from morning activities. The script included indecipherable words and symbols that raised alarm due to their unusual and threatening appearance. Security personnel cordoned off the area and summoned local police to record the complaint and begin a formal probe.

Patna Police inspected the scene and photographed the markings for documentation. Officers said that initial enquiries suggest the writing could be a prank, but they are treating the incident seriously until clear evidence is obtained. CSI (Crime Scene Investigation) teams collected samples and took impressions to analyse whether any fingerprints or other forensic clues can be linked to the person or persons responsible.

Hostel management and police appealed to students and families to remain calm, stating that there is no immediate indication of danger from external sources, but that all necessary measures will be taken to ensure everyone’s safety. Authorities have increased security patrols around the hostel premises and are reviewing CCTV footage from nearby cameras to identify any suspicious movements or unknown individuals in the vicinity.

Patna Police stated that they have registered a complaint under relevant sections of law and are following all standard procedures to identify the culprit. They reiterated that current evidence does not point to a threat against students’ safety, but that the investigation will be thorough to rule out any possibility of foul play.
