Patna Police have arrested a man for allegedly issuing threats to the son of a former Member of the Legislative Assembly. The arrest was made following a complaint that raised serious concerns over personal safety and law and order. According to police officials, the accused had reportedly sent threatening messages and made repeated attempts to intimidate the victim, prompting immediate police action.

After receiving the complaint, a police team launched an investigation and tracked the accused through technical surveillance and local intelligence inputs. The suspect was detained and questioned, during which evidence supporting the allegations was recovered. Officials confirmed that digital records and communication devices were seized as part of the investigation.

Police stated that the motive behind the threat is still being examined and further questioning is underway to determine whether the accused acted alone or was influenced by external factors. Security around the complainant has been strengthened as a precautionary measure.

Senior officers emphasised that any attempt to threaten or intimidate individuals will be dealt with strictly under

the law. The arrest, they said, sends a clear message that such actions will not be tolerated. The accused has been produced before a court and further legal proceedings are ongoing.
