The Patna district administration has ordered an official inquiry after a video circulated on social media showed students from a government school in Alawalpur village claiming they faced caste-based discrimination by teachers and staff. In the widely shared clip, several students alleged that pupils from lower caste backgrounds were made to sit separately in classrooms, prevented from mingling with others, and, in some cases, denied equal treatment during meals. 

According to the students, some teachers instructed classmates not to sit beside students from scheduled caste communities and at times segregated seating arrangements without clear educational justification. The video also included complaints about poor teacher attendance, irregular classes, and allegations that certain students were made to carry out manual tasks unrelated to learning. 

In response to the allegations, Patna District Magistrate Thiyagarajan S M directed the District Education Officer to conduct a thorough inquiry and submit a detailed report on the claims.
