Muchhal’s lawyers contend that these assertions are entirely fabricated, lack any credible evidence and have caused significant distress to him and his family. In the complaint, Muchhal seeks compensation of ₹10 crore for damage to his reputation, emotional harm and the spread of misinformation. His legal counsel also demanded that Mane issue a public apology, immediately retract the statements and take down all related posts across social media networks. Representatives for Muchhal emphasised that while public figures may face criticism, false allegations that impugn personal character without substantiation are unacceptable and subject to legal consequences. The singer has urged fans and the public to distinguish between free speech and irresponsible accusations that can irreparably harm individuals’ lives.
