New Delhi: In a major administrative decision, the Central Government has extended the tenure of Enforcement Directorate (ED) Director Rahul Navin by one year.
Rahul Navin’s existing tenure was scheduled to end on August 13, 2026. Following the extension, he will now continue as the ED Director until August 13, 2027.
Rahul Navin to Continue as ED Chief
Rahul Navin took charge as the Director of the Enforcement Directorate in August 2024. Since assuming the position, he has overseen several important investigations involving alleged money laundering, financial irregularities and other economic offences.
The Enforcement Directorate is responsible for investigating cases under key laws, including the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) and the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA).
