A major security lapse has come to light at the highly secure Indian Naval Academy (INA) in Ezhimala. A Bangladeshi national had allegedly been working in the Naval Laundry Section for nearly a year using fake documents. After his nationality was revealed, he was arrested by the police and intelligence agencies. The incident has raised serious questions about security checks at the sensitive military facility.
Intelligence Agencies Questioning the Accused
Based on confidential information received from the Intelligence Bureau (IB), 32-year-old accused Biplab Soren was detained from the academy. Police and intelligence officials are now questioning him to find out how a foreign national managed to get a job and how he was able to stay at the naval facility for nearly a year without being detected.
