A shocking incident has come to light in Kaimur, Bihar. Army soldier Shatrughan Yadav was allegedly doused with petrol and set on fire by some influential local men over an alleged outstanding amount of ₹16 lakh. After the incident on September 9, the soldier succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment in Lucknow.
Angered by the incident, the victim’s family members and local residents blocked the Ramgarh main road and staged a protest. The villagers alleged that the local police were negligent in the matter and had taken weak action from the very beginning.
People are now demanding strict punishment for the accused and action against the police station in-charge for alleged negligence. The brutal killing of the soldier, who had come home on leave, has left the entire area shaken. There are widespread demands for justice.
