Celebrations for Bihar Diwas 2026 began across the state with cultural programmes, exhibitions and public events organised in multiple districts.

At Gandhi Maidan in Patna, large crowds gathered to witness performances showcasing Bihar’s heritage, including folk music, dance and art displays. Government departments also set up stalls highlighting development initiatives and welfare schemes.

Officials said the celebrations aim to promote cultural identity and boost tourism by showcasing Bihar’s historical legacy. Schools and institutions also organised special programmes to mark the occasion.

Security arrangements were strengthened across major venues to manage the influx of visitors. Authorities expect participation to increase over the coming days as more events are scheduled.
