The Bihar government today announced new welfare schemes for police personnel and their families. Plans include opening residential schools in all police lines to ensure continuity in children’s education, and the launch of “Jeevika Didi Ki Rasoi” dining facilities in police units by late January. A cashless healthcare treatment system is also being rolled out, building on ₹43 crore already distributed under police welfare insurance schemes to strengthen financial security for officers and their dependents.
