The Bihar Museum, located in the capital city of Patna, has achieved 9th place globally and 1st place in Asia in the latest 2026 rankings of 'The World's 100 Best Museums', published by the Munich-based (Germany) international travel magazine 'Worth a Journey'. More than 3,700 tourism and cultural sites across over 140 countries were evaluated for this ranking. Mexico City's 'Museo Nacional de Antropología' secured the first position on this global list.
The Bihar Museum earned this honor for its modern architecture, rich history spanning from the Stone Age to the modern era, ancient coins, manuscripts, folk arts, and open courtyards.
