Moni Chaudhary, a young mountaineer from Bihar, has etched her name in history after successfully summiting Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa. The achievement marks a significant milestone for the state, with Chaudhary becoming one of the first climbers from Bihar to reach the summit of the iconic 5,895-metre peak, renowned for its challenging terrain and unpredictable weather conditions.
Chaudhary’s ascent was the culmination of months of preparation that included rigorous physical training, high-altitude acclimatisation and teamwork with expert guides. She faced steep inclines, icy trails and temperature swings during her climb, yet maintained determination and resilience throughout the expedition. Upon reaching the summit at sunrise, Chaudhary paused to reflect on her journey, expressing pride in her accomplishment and gratitude for the support she received from family, friends and well-wishers.
