A serious accident was narrowly avoided at the Bhootnath metro station construction site in Patna, where a labourer was trapped under a heavy concrete slab during ongoing construction work.
According to officials, the incident occurred while a crane was being used to position a large slab. During the process, the labourer—identified as Satish Kumar from Siwan—got caught beneath the structure after a sudden mishap involving heavy machinery.
The incident triggered panic at the site, with workers and locals rushing to rescue him. Initial moments were critical as the labourer remained stuck under the slab, unable to move. Local residents and co-workers eventually carried out a difficult rescue operation, managing to pull him out after considerable effort.
He was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors reported his condition as serious but stable, and he remains under observation.
