A disturbing incident of racial discrimination has come to light in Patna after a viral video showed members of a dance group from Northeast India being subjected to abuse and humiliation at a hospital.
According to reports, the group had travelled to Patna for a cultural event and visited a hospital after one of the performers was injured. However, they were allegedly denied access to basic facilities like a washroom and asked to produce identification to prove their identity.
The situation escalated when individuals present at the location reportedly used racial slurs such as “chinki,” “momo,” and “Chinese”, targeting their appearance and ethnicity. The video shows heated arguments, with members of the group protesting against the treatment.
The clip quickly went viral on social media, triggering widespread outrage and calls for strict action. Many users and public figures condemned the incident, highlighting the persistent issue of discrimination faced by people from Northeast India.
