The Patna High Court today welcomed the appointment of two new judges, enhancing the judicial capacity of one of India’s oldest high courts. Ritesh Kumar and Praveen Kumar were sworn in during a brief ceremony held at the high court premises in Patna, attended by senior judicial officials, legal fraternity members, and family representatives.
The addition of the two judges comes as part of ongoing efforts to reduce case backlogs and expedite the adjudication of pending matters. The Patna High Court has faced heavy caseloads in recent years, with a wide range of civil, criminal, and constitutional petitions awaiting judicial consideration.
