23rd April will be now written in the golden book of Bihar’s history as the Indian Air Force's Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team (SKAT) performed breathtaking maneuvers over the JP Ganga Path. On the occasion of Shaurya Diwas, Patna celebrated the 1858 victory of Veer Kunwar Singh who found against the Britishers during the First War of Indian Independence.
The excitement of both viewers and aerobatic team were alike. Flight lieutenant, Kanwal Sandhu expressed immense pride during the Patna Jet Show. Alongwith the huge crowd, 40 schools joined as spectators, witnessing the prowess of the IAF.
At the same time, Social media platforms buzzed with reactions. An Instagram user remarked, of the Air Show in Patna was unbelievable❤. ” Another attendee shared,"Day 2 "Witness the sky come a live! The Surya Kiran Air Show paints Patna's skyline with pride. The show started with a powerful moment! A paraglider from IAF glided down, holding the national
flag. Nine Hawk-132 jets lit up the sky with tricolor smoke. All of those flew in perfect sync with loops, dives, and heart-racing stunts that wowed the entire crowd.
Patna Jet Show went for 2 hours — 10 AM to 12 PM, where 40 schools attended.
They witnessed the firsthand the prowess of the IAF. Taking things ahead, the state is planning to to launch second commercial platform at Bihta – 35 km away from Patna. Such initiative stands as a powerful symbol of Bihar's growing focus on development and modernization.
