Rashtriya Janata Dal supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav attended a dahi chura bhoj hosted by his son and senior party leader Tej Pratap Yadav at their residence in Patna, drawing significant attention from party workers and supporters. The traditional feast, rooted in Bihar’s cultural practices, witnessed a large turnout from local residents and RJD members.
Lalu Prasad Yadav arrived at the venue in the afternoon and was seen interacting with attendees, exchanging greetings and acknowledging party workers who had gathered in large numbers. Tej Pratap Yadav personally supervised the arrangements and participated actively in serving food to visitors. The event featured the customary dahi, chura and accompaniments, symbolising simplicity and community bonding.
Supporters lined up from early hours to take part in the bhoj, and volunteers coordinated food distribution, seating and crowd movement. Adequate arrangements were made to ensure smooth conduct, including sanitation facilities and drinking water. Police personnel were deployed to maintain order as the crowd continued to grow through the day.
Party leaders present described the gathering as a cultural and social event rather than a political programme. Attendees said the presence of Lalu Prasad Yadav added significance to the occasion, calling it a moment of connection between leadership and grassroots supporters.
The bhoj concluded peacefully, with organisers thanking participants for their cooperation and discipline.
