The Indian women’s team refused to accept the trophy from Mohsin Naqvi, the president of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). Naqvi had attended the final as the chief guest in his capacity as ACC president. He presented Sri Lankan captain Chamari Athapaththu with the runners-up cheque, but the Indian team refused to receive the trophy from him.
